Wishbone Wood Balance Bike

Every child needs to walk before they run.  The same holds true for riding a bike.  Most kids don't just get a bike one day and the next they are able to balance themselves and ride down the street.  They first need to teach their bodies how to balance themselves.  Well, the makers of wishbone balance bikes have found a ingenious way to help children to learn to ride bikes.  They have invented a series of bikes that grow with children as they progress in their learning process.

Each bike offers three stages.

Stage 1 - Trike Mode
The trike mode is made for the beginner toddler. In this mode the bike is closer to the ground allowing your child to site on the bike while they push themselves along.

The bike also works like a tricycle.  With two wheels in the rear of the bike.  In this mode a child will not have to worry about ever tipping over.  He or she is only to think about getting used to a bike and how to propel it from place to place.

The seat is also lower to the ground, but that can be adjusted depending on how tall your child is.  Most likely you may want to adjust it up.

Stage 2 - Beginner Balance Bike

In this stage one of the back wheels are removed.  Now, your child should be used to the bike and should now start to learn how to balance the bike.  The bike will still have a low profile.  Allowing your child to be closer to the ground and more in touch with their surroundings.

Stage 3 - Tall Frame

In this final stage your child should be fairly able to balance their bike.  Especially, if they went through each stage.

The wishbone wood balance bike is very steady and well made.  It will be a great addition to your child's development.

Wood Balance Bike

Do you want a bike that that will not effect the environment?  I ask this question because if you deal with a metal bike one day that bike will end up in a junk yard rotting away doing damage to the environment.  That includes plants and wildlife. Although metal will eventually wot away through rusting, the by project of this entire process is toxic.

But lets look at a wood bike.  Now, you will not find an adult bike that is wood.  At one time when bikes were invented some inventors would use wood for bikes.  But after a while they found them to be too heavy.  Especially, if they were trying to pedal them up a road or highway.  But in present day wood bikes are more dedicated to children bikes like wood balance bikes.   These bikes are more in tune with the environment.  Because they are wood they can be recycled, they can be burned, they can also be thrown into a pile of trash and they will rot away without any affects on the surroundings.

If you are considering purchasing a balance bike you may want to consider a wood balance bike over a metal one.
